Destinations :     Big Wild Goose Pagoda: The 7 story Great Wild Goose Pagoda was built in 652AD. It is a striking elegant building and is the symbol of Xi'an. The famous Buddhist monk Xuan Zang returned from a 17 year pilgrimage and the square pagoda was built to house the 600 or so Buddhist texts that he had collected in India. Shaanxi History Museum Opened to the public in 1992, this modern museum at state level has a collection of 110,000 pieces of historic relics and is rated as one of the best museums in China. .

Day 1 
Destinations: Arrive in Beijing
Today's Activities: You'll be met on arrival in Beijing. On the way to the hotel, your guide will explain tomorrow's arrangements. Spend the rest of the day exploring the nearby streets, or resting and catching up on your jetlag. Beijing is a city of amazing contrasts – an ancient capital with some incredible historical sites, and a bustling modern metropolis getting ready to host the 2008 Olympics.

Destinations: Beijing
Today's Activities: After breakfast head out for Tian'anmen Square, the world's largest public square, which is closely linked to Mao Zedong, and The Forbidden City, from which the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties governed for over 500 years. Later you'll visit the Temple of Heaven, where the Emperors prayed for good harvests and rain, or gave thanks for the harvest. Today's itinerary includes a visit to the old Beijing handicraft workshop.

Day 3
Destinations:  Beijing
Today's Activities: Leave town in the morning for the drive (a bit under two hours) to the Badaling Section of The Great Wall , which stretches for over 6000 km, and was originally built to protect China from the barbarians. You can walk and climb at your own pace, or enjoy spectacular views from the cable car. Before returning to the city you'll enjoy visiting the Changling (one of the Ming Tombs), and the attractive tree-lined Sacred Way , bordered by stone statues, along which the Emperors once trod to conduct their sacred ceremonies. During the day a visit to Jade Caving Factory or Cloisonne (enamelware) workshop is included. Dinner tonight is at Quanjude Restaurant, where you'll eat some of the best 'Peking Duck' in Beijing.

Day 4
Destinations:  Beijing
Today's Activities: Hutong Cultural Tour: A maze of historic alleyways and old single storey traditional courtyard houses, now fast disappearing. Dotted around the hutong are the Drum and Bell Towers, Kindergarten, Tea House, and local people's houses. Your tour includes a visit with a local family. Summer Palace: The palace is positioned in the west suburb of Beijing, about 12 kilometers northwest of the city center. Equally famous as the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace is called'Yiheyuan'(Garden of Nurtured Harmony) in Chinese. It is up to now the best preserved and the largest imperial gardens in China. You may regret it if you come to Beijing without visiting this grand imperial garden. In the park, you can also have a boat ride on the lake for about 10 minutes .Besides this. Today's itinerary also includes a visit to a silk factory & workshop.

Destinations: Beijing to Xi'an
Today's Activities: You will have some free time for shopping at the Famous Xiushui Market and then fly from Beijing to Xian.

Day 6
Destinations: Xi'an
Today's Activities: Terracotta Warriors and Horses are part of the underground tomb of the Emperor Qin. Well over 7000 figures in full battle array are formed for battle in several large pits. Many of the figures - soldiers, archers, horses and chariots have been restored. In the afternoon we’re going to the Bell Tower where you can get a bird's view of the city from the top. There is a music performance of the ancient music and a display of the instruments. We will continue to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his collection of classic Buddhist artifacts brought from India.

Day 7
Destinations: Xi'an
Today's Activities: Shaanxi Historical Museum, a large-scale modern State-class museum, covers an area of about 70,000 square meters, the architectural area of which is 55,000 odd square meters. It was completed on June 20, 1991 and open to the public. Stele Forest Museum: With 900 years of history, this treasure house holds a large collection of the earliest stone steles of different periods, from the Han Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. All together, there are 3,000 steles and the museum is divided into seven exhibition halls, which mainly display calligraphy, painting and historical records. The Great Mosque: With more than 1200 years' history, it is among the four most important mosques in China.

Destinations: Xi'an to Guilin
Today's Activities: Reed Flute Cave : Known as 'the Palace of Natural Arts' this large and well-presented cave system has some remarkable formations. Elephant Trunk Hill (which really does look like an elephant drinking from the river)

Day 9

Destinations: Guilin to Yangshuo
Today's Activities: Li River Cruise: A cruise along the Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo is an unforgettable experience. As you take in the stunning scenery there's something interesting to see at almost every bend in the river. Among spectacular limestone peaks you'll see graceful bamboo groves, farmers tending rice paddies, and lumbering water buffaloes pulling carts or cooling off in the river. You may see fishermen gliding along on their narrow bamboo rafts and fishing cormorants. You can spend the afternoon exploring the little town and wandering at the West Street, or take an optional excursion to the local villages.

Day 10
Destinations: Yangshuo to Guilin to Shanghai
Today's Activities: Fly on to Shanghai. On arrival we will go directly to The Bund - the old colonial sector, which is home to a myriad of European-styled buildings that face the Huangpu River. It is a must-see when visiting Shanghai. Architectural styles include gothic, baroque, Romanesque, and renaissance.

Day 11
Destinations: Shanghai
Today's Activities: Today you visit the lovely old Yuyuan Garden, the Shanghai Museum, which rivals the Shaanxi Museum in Xi'an and is well worth a visit, the Jade Buddha Temple, and the famous Oriental Pearl TV Tower (also known as the Pearl Tower, for its distinctive shape). The second-highest platform provides wonderful views over Shanghai and the Huang Pu River, and those with a good head for heights can choose to buy a ticket to continue on to the very top.

Day 12
Destinations: Depart from Shanghai
Today's Activities: Your time is your own, until you are ready to be transferred to the airport for your departure.
